Interview with V Systems’ CEO

In January, we started off the new year with an interview with our CEO, YK!

Find insights into his career in Web3 (and tips for anyone who wants to enter the blockchain space), recent industry developments in SEA, and the future of V Systems.

Known as YK, he brings a rare blend of expertise from traditional finance and the rapidly evolving world of Web3. That is why he is at the helm of both V Systems as well as V Systems’ platform company for enterprise blockchain, Coded Solution.

V Systems’ first Hackathon — Create your Shader!

The V Hackathon is V Systems’ first-ever Hackathon for developers in the Web2 and Web3 spaces. Specifically, it targets creative WebGL experts who are well-versed in the development of Shaders to be published on the V Systems chain as NFTs!

In January, the team working on the Hackathon focused on:

  • Preparing the V Systems Hackathon website
  • Designing the promotion
  • Defining the judging panel of #WebGL professionals
  • Testing and adjusting the V Marketplace to gear up for the event

The Hackathon is set to start on 1–2Q 2025 — stay tuned and follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn, Telegram, and Discord!

Partnerships & Events

Asia Financial Forum (AFF) 2025

On 13–14 January 2025, we participated in the Asia Financial Forum (AFF) 2025, where we had the opportunity to showcase our solutions at our booth and present during the highly anticipated Pitchathon.

Indovation Delegation Trip

We are proud to have participated in the Indovation delegation trip to Indonesia organized by the Hong Kong Information Technology Joint Council (HKITJC) and supported by Cyberport, Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), and InachamHK. This incredible initiative highlighted Hong Kong’s role as a global innovation hub while fostering strategic partnerships in Indonesia.

Products & Ecosystem

Tech — VGraph

VGraph is the result of V Systems’ exploration of next-generation solutions to improve the current V Systems network and boost its technical capabilities. The VGraph team has been recently focusing on:

  • Prototype BFT support for SPOS consensus
  • Experimental contract compilation with devenv
  • Experimental support of “devenv up” node start up

Enterprise projects

VIO tokenization platform

VIO is a tokenization platform that digitizes vouchers and loyalty point programs for various industries. VIO is designed and developed by Coded Solution, V Systems’ platform company.

Last month, the VIO team worked on:

  • Joint Pilot Program: Integrating VIO with Tetriverse to allow TET holders in selected regions to purchase digital vouchers on VIO.
    Estimated launch date: February 2025
For more information, please contact the VIO team at: support@codedsolutions.xyz
  • Onboarding new e-commerce clients
  • Completed the ops portal UX/UI optimization and other technical and design optimizations and adjustments

About VKube

VKube is a Kubernetes-based container service for developers and enterprises to run containerized applications on the cloud, without installing and operating the Kubernetes control panel or worker nodes.

Webpage:

  • Added the functionality to drag and drop Service icons into the Containers page.
  • Introduced support for formatting configuration files during editing, supporting file types including text, JSON, and YAML.
  • Enabled quick selection of Service Duration, limiting the maximum duration to 24,000 hours (1,000 days).
  • Optimized the display of Service Duration: durations exceeding one day are now shown in “Year/Month/Day” format while retaining the full hour count.
  • Added a pre-payment check for Renew orders to verify if the Service belongs to the current address, preventing payment errors due to transfers and providing user prompts.
  • Added a 15-minute front-end link caching feature for PayPal payments, allowing users to reopen the payment link within the cache validity period.
  • Refactored the UI styles for the Order and Renew pages to enhance the user experience.

Content creation

  • Created a VKube tutorial channel on YouTube, organizing tutorial content by functionality.

Optimizations

VKube Web:

  • Researched and optimized the functionality for users to access their own web services through the V-Cloud domain name.
  • Further optimized the Configuration Hosting feature.
  • Conducted frontend-backend integration for querying UserService via the labelHash value API.

Node Watcher:

  • Implemented a Message Queue using Redis to improve high availability, block synchronization, and Webhook processing efficiency:
  • Provided flexible options for Message Queue types.
  • Defined Queue Item and Queue Repository interfaces to support multiple data types.
  • Refactored the initialization logic to reduce duplicate information verification and enhance startup speed.

Loki Log Service:

  • Investigated the deployment architecture of Loki:
  • Currently deployed using the Single Storage Model.
  • Planned migration of log indexes to AWS DynamoDB and log data to S3.
  • Evaluating the possibility of deploying Loki services on AWS Lambda.
  • Configured Promtail to use Pod labels for setting user information in logs, facilitating disk space usage statistics and log isolation.
  • Configured Prometheus to monitor Loki metrics, specifically focusing on user disk space usage for logs.

Other Research and Optimizations:

  • Investigated Loki log storage models and set up real-time monitoring of user log space usage with Prometheus. Stopped log collection if usage exceeds defined limits.
  • Researched the SSH Container solution for VKUBE, currently using Lifecycle to download sshd.
  • Developed part of the VKUBE CLI subcommand logic (e.g., vkube build and vkube deploy) and configuration file setup features.

Other

Prometheus and Loki:

  • Configured Prometheus to monitor Loki metrics, enabling real-time monitoring and management of log storage.
  • Researched solutions to limit disk space usage in a multi-tenant mode.

Microservices Integration and Improvements:

  • Conducted frontend-backend integration on the VCloud side for querying UserService based on the LabelHash.

CryptoPulse: A New Project on V Systems

A new project is being built on the V Systems blockchain — more info coming soon!

Tachyon Protocol

Tachyon Protocol is a decentralized Internet protocol that aims to bring new levels of user privacy, security, speed, and freedom to today’s Internet. Its first product will be a decentralized VPN. Moving on, Tachyon is going to be a page platform for many types of services. Tachyon chose V Systems for its well-designed consensus mechanism — SPoS, the capabilities of Euclid smart contracts, the Staking 2.0 initiative as well as the VSYS team’s approach to partnerships and ecosystem building.

  • Extensive compatibility testing and optimization were performed for low-spec devices and older system versions. The app launch process was improved, reducing resource usage and initialization time.
  • Issues of excessive CPU usage in certain nodes during peak periods were addressed by optimizing the task allocation algorithm, reducing the load on individual nodes.
  • Solutions such as advanced traffic obfuscation, port blocking bypass, deep packet inspection (DPI) circumvention, and multi-protocol switching were developed to address ISP blocking. Beta testing was conducted in regions with severe restrictions.
  • Address validation logic was optimized to support more formats and reduce misclassification of valid addresses. On-chain data synchronization was improved to minimize Boost operation errors.
  • System compatibility for low-performance devices and older operating systems was enhanced by optimizing resource allocation during Stake operations.
  • A dynamic yield adjustment mechanism based on staking amount and duration was proposed, optimizing the reward distribution algorithm to incentivize large, long-term stakes while ensuring fairness for smaller stakes.
  • Traffic obfuscation was developed to disguise communication traffic as standard HTTPS or video streams, bypassing ISP deep packet inspection (DPI). Beta testing was conducted to improve connectivity in heavily restricted regions.
